We’re hiring a Junior Developer (Python) to join one of our client’s engineering teams, working remotely from Kenya.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position overview:</strong></p><p><span>The role will be placed with a leading global network security company. They help companies manage and automate their network security policies. Their tools enable IT teams — including many of the Fortune 500 — to quickly see who has access to what, make changes safely, and automatically check for risks or policy violations across firewalls, cloud environments, and other parts of the network. They’re headquartered in the US but also have a large engineering team in Israel.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><span>Develop customization and integration solutions around the company’s product suite to meet customer needs.</span></li><li><span>Support the development cycle — from understanding the overall solution design to writing code (mainly in Python), including both product-specific work and integrations with third-party applications.</span></li><li><span>Collaborate with other internal teams and clients/customers to define and build solutions that help them get the most out of the company’s product offerings.</span></li><li><span>Gain experience developing in a Kubernetes environment using Helm and Docker.</span></li><li><span>Contribute to the creation of deliverables that align with customer needs and project goals.</span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>1–2+ years of hands-on professional experience developing with Python.</strong></li><li><span>Good grasp of IT networking fundamentals, gained through university and/or professional experience (including familiarity with network devices, and firewall administration/configuration).</span></li><li><span>Basic-level understanding of Kubernetes and Docker.</span></li><li><span>Experience with both developing and consuming APIs.</span></li><li><span>Bonus: Some familiarity or experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript for frontend development.</span></li><li><span>Excellent communication skills, ability to learn quickly, strong problem solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.</span></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Location: </strong></p><p><span>This is a full-time, remote role based in Nairobi, Kenya.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Contracting: </strong></p><p><span>If selected, you will be hired by Tana and embedded full-time with our client.</span></p>
